HOW TO GET PUBLISHED

Most people in arts and crafts focus on getting collectors and exhibits... the muses have them focused on creativity and not thinking about being published.

However, there is a great need to document cultures and craft books are a great way to do this for coming generations.

Besides publishers are always looking for materials that will stimulate sales.

There are two approaches to consider.

  1. Getting Published
  2. Self Publishing

To help you get published CCCO has listed links to publishers submission guidelines for you to follow and execute yourself.

For Self-Publishing CCCO has also listed links to sites that take PDF's of works that you compose yourself and pay for on-demand publishing.

Advice and guidelines for self-publishing is also available just give us a call.

We suggest you contact and contract a local marketing strategist who offers design and services to help you review and ensure your graphics and content are print ready before uploading to a self-publisher.

It can be costly to resubmit or edit a book already in process for distribution whether online or on press.

HOLIDAY BOOK FILLED WITH PLAYSCALE DOLLS CRAFTED BY DEB CORNIN.

"Christmas without Santa" written and illustrated by Deb Cornin will be released by Sweeties Book on November 18, 2008.

This Holiday tale is based on Author Deb Cornin’s personal experiences raising her two boys and reflects the youngest son's questioning of Santa Clause versus their family's focus on the Nativity and birth of Christ Jesus.

Deb knows first hand just how to share the complexity of the issue with a childlike curiosity, while leaving out judgments so that the reader can draw their own conclusion.  In fact, her approach makes it easy for parents to approach the issue with ease.
